Yeah, in a way it does. On its' own, change feels weird. Awkward. Makes us testy. Scares us--all of these, unless we choose and are in charge of the change. Only total control removes all anxiety.
That is so not going to happen.
We do things because of the benefits they bring us. Simply put, there are positive and negative benefits to everything we do.
Failure--whatever it means--brings us the goodies of sympathy, pity, comfort and attention at the expense of self-esteem, self-respect, access and responsibility.
Success and whatever it means brings the goodies of access, self-respect, responsibility and esteem. You know what we lose? The pity, sympathy, comfort and attention we got from being in failure.
And swapping the positive benefits--the goodies-- of failure for the goodies of success is… change. Better figure out how to make that shift, ya think?
I can help with that.
