The Cosmic Hopeholder Championship

The Cosmic Hopeholder Championship

December 22, 20221 min read

I wrote a funny line about the mental effort healing takes. It qualifies you to compete in the (fictitious) World Hope Federation's "Cosmic Hopeholder Championship." I didn't think I was serious. But I am.

As much as I communicate about trauma and its impact, I also feel a strong pull to start talking about hope. I could not survive without hope, and I remember the keen pain of chronic despair.

So, of course, I talk to myself when I talk about hope (and about trauma). You see, I think the same skills are required to more easily build hope and health, whether the focus is on hope or on trauma.

How about you? How's your hope?
